What happens if I come to a Sunday service?
Our Sunday services are kind of a mix of things. We sing a bit, talk a bit, pray a bit, often have food and chat. It’s pretty casual. Many people in the place are involved in readings, talks, and running parts of the services. The minister does not wear robes or anything like that. The thing that makes it good is that people here genuinely care about each other. We know God loves and accepts us and we want to show that by loving and accepting others. But we aren’t perfect and don’t always get it right or agree with each other. Maybe our music isn’t even that great but we believe God enjoys our efforts to honestly worship him.
What are the people like?
Well there is everything here. There are people who struggle with life, professionals, tradies, farmers, young and old, parents, youth, children, babies. Some people here have been around for years. Some have just started. In many ways this place is almost like a family for most of us. Some here actually no longer have close family or have lost contact with them so this is pretty important for them especially.
Do I need to know about religion or be a Church of Christ person?
No. In fact you are welcome even if you are not a Christian! Jesus always welcomed any one from any walk of life who came to him. We aim to be like him in loving and accepting all people. You are more than welcome to just come and be part of it and find out more.
